It’s been a big year for rising rap star “Tekashi 6ix9ine,” but not all of the buzz he’s been receiving has been good. In fact, the rapper has come under fire for committing a few “crimes” including but not limited to use of a child in a sexual performance and now armed robbery and racketeering!
Many were baffled at a judge’s recent decision to NOT have Tekashi register as a sex offender after being convicted of having sexual relations with a 13-year-old girl and only being sentenced to 4 years of probation.
However, in a since-released court document, it’s been revealed that the only reason Tekashi didn’t face more time was that the judge couldn’t pronounce his name. Court tapes reveal the judge muttering “it just wouldn’t be comfortable to sentence someone whose name I can’t pronounce” and frequently referring to the rapper as “six-ix nine-ine”. Luckily, it seems that someone found out how to pronounce his name, as the rapper is now facing life in prison.
“As much as I regret the outcome of the trial, I’m at least happy that the judge could pronounce my name right,” Tekashi said. “I’ll happily recall this moment as I wither away in prison.”
